Introduction to Real-world Laboratories
Real-world laboratories are complex research approaches in which real-world practice and scientific practice are combined. Concrete practical implementation processes, such as a campus development, are initiated cooperatively and implemented in practice. Scientists accompany this process by developing specific results and feeding them into the implementation process. Real-world laboratories are therefore an important approach to promoting innovation in Berlin and at federal level. This is linked to the idea of getting innovative approaches such as climate change adaptation strategies or transport planning innovations implemented more quickly.
The aim of the webinar is to give participants an introduction to real-world laboratory research in Germany and to provide specific key characteristics of real-world laboratories. A good practice example will be used to show how a real-world laboratory can develop in a process, which stakeholders from practice can be involved and what opportunities and challenges are associated with a real-world laboratory approach.
The seminar is part of the series "Participatory Research". Participation in this seminar only is possible. Participants of all seminars of the series will get a certificate.
