Introduction to Transdisciplinary Research
Transdisciplinary research is a specific participatory research mode in which non-scientific practitioners actively shape the research project: from the joint problem framing and formulation of the research question(s) to the co-design of the research and its implementation and reflection. In transdisciplinary research, the focus is on joint learning and the integration of different bodies of knowledge - with the aim of gaining scientific knowledge and developing practical solutions for social challenges.
In the seminar, participants will learn about important characteristics and terms of transdisciplinary research as well as the central process steps using various project examples. The seminar takes an in-depth look at the diversity of perspectives and different types of knowledge.
The seminar is part of the series "Participatory Research". Participation in this seminar only is possible. Participants of all seminars of the series will get a certificate.
