Summary:
How can research processes be designed more inclusively? Which exclusions shape transdisciplinary research practice – often unnoticed? And how can we collaborate with greater sensitivity to discrimination?
This webinar raises awareness for questions of more equitable participation in research projects, provides practical approaches to action, and offers impulses for designing more inclusive research practices.
Key Focus Areas:
• Awareness & Reflection: Recognizing the relevance of diversity-related and intersectional exclusions in academia and reflecting on one's own role
• Methods & Principles: Gaining insights into approaches for more inclusive, diversity-conscious research practice and collaboration sensitive to discrimination
• Transfer to Practice: Exploring application possibilities for your own research context
About the trainer:
Katrin Unger (she/her) is an Educational Scientist and currently works as Managing Director and Senior Consultant at compassorange – a Berlin agency for contemporary personnel, organizational, and cultural development. Since 2010, she has been facilitating innovation, learning, and change processes in diverse organizational contexts – particularly in academic and research settings, as well as in civil society and social organizations. Her work focuses on issues of gender, diversity & inclusion, anti-discrimination, and empowerment.

Participants will receive additional material and literature references to enable them to independently deepen the topics covered in the webinar.
The webinar is designed for transdisciplinary research intermediates but also beginners. Members of all status groups from the Berlin University Alliance partners are invited. Guests from other institutions are welcome.
